About
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. I have been a fan of all sports since I was born, playing many of them as I grew up through the years. When I was seven years old, I moved to Columbus. I then attended Westerville South High School, where I was highly involved with music. I was in the Columbus Youth Jazz Orchestra in high school, and started my time in college as a jazz studies trumpet player. After transferring to, then back from Ohio University, I took a sports media class that changed my life. Through that class, I became the women's soccer beat writer for The Lantern. I then had the incredible opportunity to cover the Little Brown Jug with my extremely talented professor Nicole Kraft for the Columbus Dispatch.
Nicole then gave me the opportunity of a lifetime, and got me an interview to become the first student staff photographer for Ohio State Athletics in years. I was granted the position, and immediately started covering all sports for the university. I was on the field for all of the football games, on the court for all of the basketball games, and on ice level for all of the hockey games. On top of that, I was covering things like volleyball, wrestling, lacrosse, tennis, baseball, and even women's Final Four ceremonies for tree planting and hall of fame inductions. I have loved shooting all of these sports, and working on my skills as a photographer and journalist. Through covering men's hockey at Ohio State, I met a now close friend in Ric Kruszynski. Ric, along with all of the other amazing photographers I have met have helped me work on my eye for a shot, and how to act as a professional. Ric then went above and beyond, and earned me my first gigs shooting the Blue Jackets.
I now stand as a photojournalist loving every event I shoot, hoping to get more involved with sports communications or photography. I never thought I would be put in this situation, and if you told me a few years ago that I would be where I am now, I wouldn't have believed you. I'm ready and willing to conquer any challenge or opportunity that I face and continue living out this dream I have created for myself.
Please feel free to contact me if you would like a photographer for an upcoming event.
